What are proposal documents and why use them?
Create a proposal document to send to prospective clients using the project information you've entered into Synergy. These documents can include a detailed breakdown of project phases, stage fees, and budget. By generating proposals directly from Synergy, duplication of data entry is minimised, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
How to create a proposal document?
Organisation dropdown > projects
Open the project you want to create a proposal document for
Project menu > project information > Document register Or Select the project documents tab from the stats bar
Click on "Create" in the top right > Proposal document
Enter the proposal contacts, the To field is for the company or individual and the Attention and Dear fields are for personnel
Ensure the address is correct, this is pulled from the contact profile
Select the proposal template you want to use for this document
Edit the document name if needed
Check the check box to the left of the stages you want to include in the proposal document. Check the check box in the 'include budget' column to include breakdown of the budget for this stage.
Click Generate to create and save the proposal document.
Click on the "Proposal" folder, you will see the proposal document saved.
Proposal document actions
Open your project proposal folder and select the 3 dots to the right of the document line to view all actions.
Details: View key information about the file, including the document name, revision history, a section to add or edit a description, and a space for comments.
Preview: Preview the first page of the proposal document
Download: Download the Word document to your computer to review and make further edits.
Check Out for Edit: Download the document and notify others to prevent simultaneous edits.
Check-In: Upload a new revision of the document and remove the checked-out notification.
Cancel Check-Out: Remove the checked-out notice. Use this option if you no longer wish to edit the document and want to retain the previous revision.
Send: Send the proposal to any project contacts.
Share: Share the proposal document via email or transmittal.
Manage Shares: View the history and details of all shared versions of the proposal document.
Lock: Prevent further check-ins and check-outs by locking the document.

Do I have to include all stages I have planned for in the proposal?
No. Synergy Gives the option to click and choose which stages you want to be included in the proposal.
Can I have multiple template layouts of my proposal?
Yes. You can choose from multiple templates for different types of work, offices or sizes of jobs.
