What are portal announcements?
Portal announcements allow you to share important updates with all project contacts who have portal access. They’re a great way to keep the project team and clients informed about project developments.
When an announcement is posted, external users (portal contacts) will not be able to see the names of other external users.
How to view all portal announcements?
Organisation menu > My portals
Open the relevant project portal
Select Announcements on the left hand side of the portal
How to post a portal announcement
Organisation menu > My portals
Open the relevant project portal
Select 'Post an announcement' at the top of the portal page
Enter the chat information
Subject: Type the subject of the announcement. This is a short summary of the chat contents
Message: Enter the text that you want the portal contacts to view.
Attachment: Use the attachments icon to attach documents to this chat.
Select Post in the bottom right.
How to search for an announcement
Organisation menu > Portals > open the relevant project portal
Select Announcements on the left hand side of the project portal page
Under the 'announcements' search for key words and press enter to search
How to reply to a portal announcement
Organisation menu > Portals > open the relevant project portal
Select Announcements on the left hand side of the project portal page
Enter your response in the 'write a reply' text box and then select Reply
You can use the 'Attachment' button to attach documents to your portal response
Unfollow a portal announcement
Organisation menu > My Portals > open the relevant project portal
Select Announcements on the left-hand side of the project portal page
Locate the announcement you want to unfollow > select the '...' in the top right hand corner > Unfollow
