Invoicing Progress

Learn about the Invoicing Progress Dashboard

Edition: Business + Insights Pro Add-on, Enterprise + Insights Pro Add-on
User-level: Permissions are set at an Organisation level by System Administrators
Who this is for: Finance team, principals, studio managers

Dashboard Explained

Flat project-level invoicing table showing agreed fee, WIP, resourcing, forecast, invoices and variance for the billing period. Invoicing Progress is the billing cycle management tool — use it at the end of each month to track invoicing completion across the portfolio and ensure nothing falls through before the cycle closes.

New in Insights Pro: This dashboard did not exist in Analytics Plus.

How to use it

Run Invoicing Progress in the final week of each billing cycle. Sort by Variance to identify which projects have the largest gap between forecast and actual invoices. Compare Current vs. Snapshot forecast to see how much the month's expectations have shifted since it was frozen — a big gap may mean scope or timing assumptions changed mid-month. Follow up directly on projects with high Draft values still in the system near month-end — these are typically held up by client approval or missing project data.
