Dashboard Explained

Geographic distribution of active projects by count, plotted using project start date. Projects Map gives an immediate visual of where the firm's work is located — useful for understanding geographic spread, identifying regional concentration, and informing business development targeting.

Updated in Insights Pro: This dashboard existed in Analytics Plus as "Project Fee (Project Start Date) by Office" with a near-identical TomTom map, and has been substantially redesigned for Insights Pro (bubble size changed from fee-weighted to count-based).

How to use it

Use Projects Map in strategy meetings or new business presentations to visualise the geographic reach of the firm's active work. Since bubble size reflects project count rather than fee value, a region with many small projects will appear larger than a region with one large one — cross-reference with the project table or Portfolio Summary if you need to weight by value instead. Note that projects will only appear if a valid address and start date have been entered in Total Synergy — gaps on the map may reflect missing data rather than a genuine absence of work in that area.
