Dashboard Explained
Automated data quality alerts across projects, timesheets and resourcing. Data Quality Flags surfaces missing or inconsistent data in Total Synergy before it creates gaps in reporting — the earlier these are caught, the less they affect dashboards across all other modules.
New in Insights Pro: This dashboard did not exist in Analytics Plus.
Note: Flags indicate missing or inconsistent data in Total Synergy — they do not indicate an error in Insights Pro. Resolving flags requires updating the source data in Total Synergy.
How to use it
Review Data Quality Flags weekly, ideally at the start of the week before timesheets are approved. Prioritise missing forecasts and unposted timesheets first — these have the most immediate impact on reporting accuracy. Missing cost rates affect margin across all reporting and should be resolved as soon as a new staff member is set up. Assign flag resolution to the relevant PM or admin and track the flag count trending down over time.
Understanding your data
Key Fields | How it's Calculated |
Missing Project Address | Projects with no address or an incomplete address entered in Total Synergy. These projects will not appear on Projects Map |
Missing Forecast | Active project stages with no revenue forecast entered for the current or next month. These stages will create gaps in Projects Forecast and Planning dashboards |
Missing Cost Rate | Staff members with no cost rate set in Total Synergy. Hours charged by these staff will not contribute to margin calculations |
Unposted Timesheets | Timesheets submitted but not yet approved and posted. Unposted hours will not appear in charge or utilisation calculations |
Stages Over Fee Cap | Project stages where invoiced revenue plus WIP exceeds the agreed fee. These require a fee variation or write-off decision |
Flag Count by Category | Count of data quality issues in each flag category, grouped by office and PM for prioritised remediation |
