Adjusting the stage dates

1. You can't extend a resource's timeslot past the stage dates.

2. The resource will extend if the start/end dates match.

3. Changing both start and end dates in the pop-up menu

You are unable to change both the start and end dates at the same time when using the pop-up menu. You can still do this but it needs to be a two-step process.

  1. Change the start date then click out to save the changes.

  2. Change the end date.

For a resource:

  • If you adjust the stage's end date, to be earlier than the timeslot's start date- the timeslot will be removed.

  • If a stage's new end date falls within a resource timeslot - the timeslot will shrink to match the new stage end date.

For a task:

If you adjust the stage's end date, to be earlier than the task's start date - the task will grow to match the duration of the new stage.

If the stage's new start date is before the task's start date, the task will grow to match the new stage start date.

  • If the stage's new end date is after the task's start date, the task will grow to match the new stage end date.

Similarly, the task will also shrink if the stage's new end date is before the task's end date or if the stage's start date is after the task's start date.

For a milestone:

If you adjust the stage's end date to be earlier than the milestone date - the milestone will take on the new date.
