This month, we’ve updated the Staff List page and added New Reporting Categories.
1. Staff List improvements
The Staff List now aligns with the functionality of our Invoices and Projects pages, offering consistency and improved usability.
What’s changing?
User Interface: The updated interface aligns with the Invoice and Project pages, providing a cleaner and more intuitive experience.
Filtering: Use the side pane or column headers to apply filters. Multiple criteria can be selected simultaneously for precise results.
Views: Use the view option at the top right of the page to switch between the default, contacts, and tags views.
Benefits:
Enhanced Filtering: Filter by new criteria such as Job Title, Reports to, Default Rate, and Date Range, in addition to existing features like Security Access Levels, Employee Type, and Offices.
New Views: The Contacts view has improved accessibility to critical information.
Improved Usability: Users have more options for pagination, multi-select, and opening entries in new tabs.
Modernised Design: The updated interface aligns with our new design standards, providing a cleaner and more intuitive experience.
Availability:
Access Staff Lists by clicking on Organisation > Staff. Staff List improvements are available across Business and Enterprise editions of Synergy.

2. New Reporting Categories
New categories provide deeper insights into your financial data, with new fields at both the Project and Stage levels to break down financial information into more specific categories.

Project Level Fields:
Internal Category: Project Internal Budget Total, Project Internal Charge Total, Project Internal Net Invoice Total Ex Tax
External Category: Project External Budget Total, Project External Charge Total, Project External Net Invoice Total Ex Tax
Expenses Category: Project Expenses Budget Total, Project Expenses Charge Total, Project Expenses Net Invoice Total Ex Tax
Stage Level Fields:
Internal Category: Stage Internal Budget Total, Stage Internal Charge Total, Stage Internal Net Invoice Total Ex Tax
External Category: Stage External Budget Total, Stage External Charge Total, Stage External Net Invoice Total Ex Tax
Expenses Category: Stage Expenses Budget Total, Stage Expenses Charge Total, Stage Expenses Net Invoice Total Ex Tax
Benefits:
Improved Financial Analysis: Gain insights into budget, charge, and net invoice totals across various categories for better financial management.
Customisation: Tailor your reports by adding these new fields to meet your specific reporting needs.
Availability:
When creating or editing your reports, select the new reporting fields as columns. They are available for both Project and Stage levels. New Reporting Categories are available for Business and Enterprise editions.

Fixes
Projects: Fixed an issue where folders were not being created in Sharepoint
Audits: Fixed an issue where Stage fee changes were not appearing in project audits
MYOB Connect: Fixed an issue where some users were receiving an error when trying to sync with MYOB Connect and improved general performance
Forecasts: Fixed an issue where invoiced value was not populating on the revenue forecast
Reports: Fixed an issue where the debtor note column excluded invoices with other note types
API: Resolved an issue where API endpoints showed results with 26 decimal places
Rates: Resolved an issue where the Rate value was rounded on groups other than standard new rates
