What’s Next for Total Synergy

We’ve got some exciting months ahead and are pleased to share what’s coming next. This is the page to bookmark to stay up to date on the latest release features and dates.

With several significant and much anticipated updates planned, this will help you stay informed and prepare your organisation for what’s ahead.

Release Schedule: H2 2025

Proposed timings are depicated below but are subject to change. You will be notified via an in-app message at least one week prior of any change.

Each feature/functionality will be rolled out in two phases:

  • Early Access: Limited to a select group of customers or ‘beta testers’ who provide feedback on the initial release of new features and functionality.

  • General availability: When a feature or functionality will be available for all users of Synergy. This is up to 4 weeks later to allow time to incorporate the feedback of your peers into the general release.

To help you plan for the change, we can provide access in advance to your UAT environment so you can explore the new features in a cached replica of your production setup. To request access, simply email customersuccess@totalsynergy.com

Updates are not limited to what’s detailed here. There will also be minor bug fixes and enhancements. Change log can be accessed here.

Project Overview - Now available!

Project Overview is a complete rethinking of how you see and understand your projects - putting the most important information front and centre, in a layout that’s cleaner, smarter, and more actionable. It’s our first step in providing better insights into your projects.

While we continue to roll out further enhancements of Project Overview (beta), we're providing users the option to switch between the existing Project Details page and the new Project Overview page. Learn more.

Navigation

Building on the new project navigation released in June, we’re making it faster and easier to find what you need in Synergy.

This new navigation is the most significant change since Synergy Cloud was released. It aims to create a more intuitive and efficient way for you to access key features and information and provide a seamless connection between global and page-level navigation.

Custom Email Templates for Invoices

The most requested feature on our Feedback Forum (previously Community), you will soon be able to personalise what the email looks like when you send an invoice from Synergy by creating custom invoice email templates. You can still choose to use the existing template as a default, but you will have the flexibility to make it your own, with branding (logo), and customise the body, subject, and ‘from’ using free text and bookmarks.

Also a very popular request on our Feedback Forum, this feature adds support for a “Client PO Number” field on invoices. More soon.

Simple Billing, Same Price

We’re making billing in Synergy clearer and easier, aligned with industry best practices. This is a process refresh only, your pricing and plan will remain the same. You’ll see these updates on your Subscription page in Synergy.

Annual Customers: This update replaces the previous credit system to provide greater transparency around contract start and end dates, licence counts, and proration. Any additional licences are invoiced when you add them, with payment by credit card in Synergy, so you’ll always know where your subscription is at without any credit surprises.

Legacy Monthly Customers: You’ll notice some small updates to the UI, but your overall process will remain largely the same. You can continue to add and pay for additional users via credit card.

Project Breakdown

We’re redesigning how you set up your projects from the ground up. Phase 1 of this will include a new page “Project Breakdown”, which will include the fresh new look, and the ability to view and download your work breakdown. Future phases of the Project Breakdown page will include a completely new, intuitive experience for creating your phases, stages, budgets, and assigning resources. More soon.
