Adding to-dos from the general Kanban Board
From Side Navigation, click Projects > Kanban.
Click on the current Kanban view and then select 'By project'.
Select a project, stage and task from the dropdown menus at the top of the screen.
Click on '+ To do'.
Type the name of the To-do.
Press enter.
Add to-dos from the project specific Kanban Board
Project menu > Three Dots "..." > Kanban board.
Select a stage and task from the dropdown menus at the top of the screen.
Click on '+ To do'.
Type the name of the To-do.
Press enter.
Marking to-dos as complete
Once you have finished your to-do you will need to know how to mark it as complete. The steps are detailed below.
1. From Side Navigation, click Projects > Kanban
2.Hover over the to-do and select the check mark symbol that appears
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the to-do to the 'Done' panel to mark it as complete
Assigning to-dos to to staff
To-dos can be assigned to staff members from the Kanban within a project. To assign a to-do to a staff member, follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Project Kanban
From Side Navigation, select Projects > Projects List
Open the project you want to assign a to-do on
Click the More tab (3 dots) > Plan > Kanban board
All to-dos in the left pane are unassigned. There are two different ways you can assign these to staff.
Click into the to-do from the left pane. Select the staff member from the menu on the right
2. Drag and drop the to-do from the pane on the right to the appropriate staff.
Tips!
Selecting the back arrow will save any changes made to the to-do.
Sort the Kanban view by project, team and office when assigning to-dos.
Filter the Kanban board by office
Follow the below steps to filter by office for the Kanban planning board:
From Side Navigation, click Projects > Kanban
Click on the ‘By Team/Project/Office’ menu bar at the top of the screen
Select ‘By Office’ if this is not already selected
Click on the location name next to ‘By Office’ to select the office you would like to search in the drop-down menu
Colour coding in the kanban
To-dos have different colours, each colour represents a different status.
Below is an example of this in the Kanban board; each to-do has a different coloured bar to the left of it:
To do colour | Meaning |
Red | Overdue - these will always appear at the top of the list |
Blue | Due |
Yellow | In review |
Grey | Unassigned |
Teal | Complete - these will always be pushed below any active to-dos |
NOTE: These colours can not be modified.
