Dashboard Explained

Aged WIP buckets moving month over month. Aged WIP Evolution is the early-warning view for WIP management — it shows whether late-aged WIP is being actively collected and invoiced, or quietly getting older without action.

New in Insights Pro: This dashboard did not exist in Analytics Plus.

How to use it

Review Aged WIP Evolution monthly alongside WIP Analysis. If the 90+ day bucket is growing, it indicates that WIP is not being cleared — either through invoicing or write-off decisions. A stable or shrinking 90+ bucket means collections and invoicing are working. Use this view to report on WIP management progress to leadership and to set targets for reducing aged balances over the quarter.

Understanding your data

Key Fields

How it's Calculated

0–30 Day WIP (Monthly Snapshot)

WIP balance in the 0–30 day age bucket captured at the end of each reporting period

31–60 Day WIP (Monthly Snapshot)

WIP balance in the 31–60 day bucket at period end. WIP ageing into this bucket that isn't cleared will move to the next bucket the following month

61–90 Day WIP (Monthly Snapshot)

WIP balance in the 61–90 day bucket at period end

91–120 Day WIP (Monthly Snapshot)

WIP balance in the 91–120 day bucket at period end. WIP in this range should have a billing or write-off decision

121+ Day WIP (Monthly Snapshot)

WIP balance in the 121+ day bucket at period end — the oldest and most at-risk category

Monthly WIP Snapshot

Total WIP balance captured at the end of each reporting period. Requires period-end snapshots to be taken — gaps in snapshots will appear as gaps in the evolution chart
