Autofill is a common feature enabled in modern web browsers. It allows your browser to fill in text forms on web pages with saved information that you often use, such as your address, name, payment details, username, and password.
However, when you frequently log in to different platforms and use different usernames or passwords for those services, the browser may not be smart enough to understand that the username field on one site is different. A username field on another site. For this reason, you may want to disable these autofill features.
You can find below methods for disabling autofill on web browsers supported by Synergy.
Google Chrome
First, go to your browser settings (the three vertical dots), then select settings, then passwords under autofill:
Deselect 'auto sign-in'
Next, clear your browsing data from the same settings menu, and deselect 'auto sign-in' from the Passwords Auto-fill page
Safari
In the Safari app on your Mac, go to Safari > Preferences, then click the 'AutoFill' tab.
Microsoft Edge
From Edge, select […] and then ‘Settings’.
Then select the ‘Passwords & autofill’ tab.
You will then be able to see Edge’s Autofill settings.
Turn off ‘Save form data’.
After turning this off, go to the ‘Privacy & security’ tab, and select ‘Choose what to clear’.
From the Clear browsing data screen, select ‘Autofill data’ and then [Clear].
Lastly, refresh your page.
