Features in the Project Details page

User-level: User (limited view only), Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Director, Assistant Administrator, System Administrator


The project details tab displays a read-only project summary with general project information displayed like project title, site address, internal project manager, project status (proposal vs active confirmed work), and a project description in the scope of work field. Select the Edit button to update the project details, or use this as a launch page to navigate to the other project tabs.


Editing Options

The Project Details tab can be edited either by selecting Edit in the top-right corner of the page.

When selecting the Ellipses button, users can delete the project, recalculate project financials, or create a project template based on the project's details (eg. Fee, Budget, Schedule, Resources, Project Type).

The Edit button allows users to change the following areas:

  • Project Name

  • Project Number

  • Project Office and Project Type

  • Project Status

  • Start and end dates

  • Project Scope of Work

  • Billable/non-billable

  • Project Manager

  • Invoice Currency

  • Site Address

  • Tags

  • Single stage (simple) or Multi stage (advanced)

  • Extra Data

All of the editing options highlighted above in bold are mandatory fields that must be filled in to create a project. Any mandatory custom fields that appear under Extra Data must also be filled in, and have an exclamation point next to them to indicate this:


How to edit the Project Details page

When selecting a project from the Project List, you'll be directed to the project details page. Select the Edit button in the top-right corner to enter editing mode:


Changing the Project Number

The project number can be changed in editing mode by selecting the pencil icon next to the project number field:

The prefix and number can be updated based on your existing project numbering rules, and an optional suffix can be added.


Updating the site address

When updating the site address, enter a country in the Country field, followed by the street address of the site. When typing the street address, suggestions will appear based on the street number, name and country:


Changing the Project Status

Select the pencil icon next to the Status field to change the status of the project as well as stages within it. This can be used to update the status of proposal projects/opportunities as bidding for the job is underway, and can also be used to make the project active when won.
