What Synergy Items can be exported to Sage?

How to enable Sage 50 add on

  1. Go to organisation menu > subscription

  2. Select 'Change product users or storage'

  3. Under add-ons, check the box to the Left of 'Sage'

  4. Press calculate in the bottom right-hand side.

  5. You will then check next in the top right hand side, where you will be prompted to pay for the add-on.

Sage 50 Preview

User the preview tab to check what data is available to be transferred from Synergy to Sage. The data is grouped to show all invoices, bills and staff expenses to be exported to Sage and all invoice and bill payments that can be imported to Synergy.

Select Sync in the top right hand corner to export all data to Sage.

How to check data before it is synced to Sage

In the preview tab, open up the grouping options to view what data will be exported by selecting the arrow to the left of the grouping header.

Actions available

  • View the invoice stage line details - Click the green text on the invoice number, or the total inc tax column to open this pop-up. See the stage level invoice totals, the account code that each of the stages is mapped to based on your Connect settings, and the Sage inventory item that will be applied to each line.

  • Invoice contact details - Click the green text for the contact name to open this pop-up. View the details for the invoice contact that will be created or updated in Sage by this sync. New contact created show the action of add, and the new record is created in Sage by the sync. If the contact already exists in Sage with the contact name / unique id combination then the contact action will show update. This allows connect to update the address and phone number details into Sage, when you have updated those details in Synergy.

  • Error details - Click the green text 'Error detail' to open this pop-up. Here you can see the details of each error message that is showing for that invoice, these errors must be resolved before the sync can be run. Click the '...' actions button to edit the details in Synergy that relate to the warning that is shown.

  • Skip items - Lines are skipped by unchecking the box to the left of the line or the group of data, and on refresh of the page they are saved to the skipped lines tab. You can add back the skipped lines into a future sync as required.

What is Sage Connect history tab?

The History tab in Sage Connect keeps track of what information has been imported or exported to Sage. Open the groups to view the following information:

  • Who ran the sync - The name entered on the users staff record is shown.

  • When the sync was run - The date and time that the sync was run by that user.

  • Processed records - The number of items that successful transferred to Sage. These items can be invoices, credit notes, invoice contacts, bills, or staff expenses.

  • Failed records - The number of items that failed to be transferred to Sage.

  • Sync duration - This shows how many minutes or seconds that the sync took to run and process all the records.

What is Sage Connect Skipped records tab?

If a record has not been exported to Sage, checked the skipped records tab. This shows all items excluded from the sync either because there were errors or because they were manually unchecked from the sync.

To remove items from the skipped records tab:

  1. Open the Sage Connect > Skipped records tab.

  2. Check the box for each group that you want to add back to the sync preview.

  3. Save.
