Customisable Columns

Create custom views for Project lists.

Customisable Columns allow you to control how you view data in Total Synergy.

Columns can be added, removed, re-ordered and resized in the projects list.

The customised Project list can then be saved as a custom view that you can access at any time, or set as your default view.


Add or remove columns and save as a custom view

To add columns to the project list:

  1. Click the Manage Columns icon located on the right hand side of the list headings.

  2. From the "Available columns list" click the plus (+) symbol on the column name(s), then click Apply.

  3. Create a custom view with the additional columns by clicking the View icon at the top right of the screen, and select 'Save as new' from the dropdown menu.

  4. Enter a name for the custome view. To set this as your default view, tick 'Set as default', then click Save.

  5. To change to the custom view, click the View icon at the top right of the screen and select the view name from the dropdown menu.

  6. ​The added columns will be included when exporting to Excel from the selected view.

Edit a custom view

  1. To add more columns to a custom view, click the view icon and select the custom view name from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click the Manage Columns icon. To add columns, select the columns from the Available columns list on the left by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
    To remove columns, find the columns in the Active columns list on the right, and click the delete (x) symbol. Click Apply.

  3. To save the changes to the View, click the View icon at the top right of the screen and select 'Update' from the dropdown menu.

  4. A message displays confirming the changes have been applied


Adjusting column widths

  1. The width of a column can be adjusted by hovering over the right hand edge of the column name until the double headed arrow icon appears.

  2. Once the icon displays, click and drag to adjust the column width.

Reorder columns

  1. To change the position of a column, click and hold the column heading, then drag the heading to the new location.

  2. To save the changes to the View, click the View icon at the top right of the screen and select 'Update' from the dropdown menu.

Manage views

  1. Click the View icon at the top right of the screen and select Manage Views.

  2. Hover over the name of the custom view and click the edit (pencil) icon.

  3. Edit the details then click Save.

  4. To remove the view, click the delete (trash) icon.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
