How to resolve the error message 'Office ID required'


The "Office Id is required for new stage" error can occur for two reasons:

  1. The office assigned to the project is not linked to the staff member adding the new stage.

  2. You may have spent too long editing the work breakdown without saving.

How to check the project’s assigned office:

  1. Go to the Organisation menu > Projects and open the project you're working on.

  2. On the left side of the project details page, you'll see the office the project is assigned to.

How to check if the office is assigned to the staff:

  1. Go to the Organisation menu > Staff.

  2. Locate the staff member > click into their profile >
    The office details will appear on the left.

How to assign the office to the staff profile:

  1. Organisation menu > staff

  2. Open the staff profile not assigned to the project office

  3. Edit in the top right

  4. Select the checkbox next to the office assigned to the project. For any secondary offices, use the Selected column.

  5. Click Save in the top right.

If the error persists, refresh the work breakdown (note: unsaved changes will be lost). To avoid this, we recommend frequently saving the work breakdown while making edits.
